                                  About Us

After more than 35 years in business, Bob and Marjorie Leventry joined the Peace Corps,  volunteering in Ecuador from 1993 to 1996.  Upon returning to Chicago, they formed Inca Organics, the food division of Andean Partners Inc., a US corporation. With the assistance of Marcos and Guadalupe Tapia, IncaFood S.A. was established in Ecuador.  IncaFood S.A. exports to Inca Organics in the United States, Infinity Foods in the United Kingdom, and the Flannery Group in Australia.  Our company is structured to ship our products from six warehouses located in four continents.  IncaFood S.A. works with 4025 indigenous families in Ecuador and our products have been enjoyed in many different countries on the four continents.  You may view a slide show of Mother Grain: Bringing back the lost crop of the Incas with text by Amanda Kimble-Evans of the Rodale Institute and pictures supplied by Inca Organics.

Inca Organics is a  fair trade company, ensuring that the indigenous South American farmers and artisans they work with receive fair compensation.  Please read about the Inca Organics project in Ecuador, which has grown to be one of the most successful development projects in South America.

Inca Organics' high- quality products have been well received in the United States. Sarah Stegner, award winning chef of the gourmet restaurant "The Dining Room" at the Ritz Carlton-Chicago, enjoys the excellent taste of Inca Organics' certified organic quinoa and reports that she has never received so many favorable comments from her diners.  A full client list is available on the "Where to Buy" page.
Inca Organics enjoys a close relationship with the
Organic Trade Association, the American Dietetic Association, and the international association, Slow Food.
